Connect 4 Anyone???

I read about the Dream Hotel in Downtown NYC awhile back. Seeing as I'm stumped for content these days, I thought now would be a good time to share with you. I think the architecture for the building is super cool. However, finding interior photographs is rather difficult. Not sure why that's the case...who doesn't want to see some swanky pix of a potentially cool hotel. Surely, I'm not the only one???

Love

"As you give love out, it's received and reciprocated--and it grows. That's the beauty of it. Love is an energy. You can feed it to people, and they in turn feed it to others, and eventually it comes back."

Books, books and more books...oh, how I love a good one. Reading is something I do every single day of my life. While I try to spend at least an hour a day doing this, even if I only have 5 minutes I'll take it and bury my nose in a book. What I wouldn't give to have a library similar to the one in Vancouver. I realize we're getting ready to build a new one downtown and trust me I look forward to it. While I frequent the Faulk Library all the time, it's not a space I want to plop down and start reading in.

Once Upon a Time

There was a nice pleather bound journal waiting to be written in once the current journal was full. It wasn't a fancy journal, but I really liked the pages of the upcoming journal. No big deal, it was sitting off in the corner where my stock pile of books to be read sat.

This morning Bronco and I went on a run. Normal morning for us, and the only way Bronco can roam the house (aka not stuck in a crate all day) while I'm at work. This routine keeps him from eating the mail, pillowcases or whatever weird things he comes across.
Then there was today. I open the door and Bronco rounds the corner. I know immediately he's chewed something up. He rounds the corner then goes all ninja to the ground, creeping backwards with his ears down. Oh, boy I'm wracking my brain to figure out what he ate while I was away. I thought if he ate the new car seat liner prior to being installed I'm going to be an unhappy Mama. Nope, not the car seat liner. Bronco chooses to hang under the dining room table while I investigate. I go into my bedroom and low and behold the lovely pleather binder is a chewed up ball of slobber mess. See for yourself.

And the guilty party is...

Wha'd up, ready for my walk now:-)

Tufted Seating

While I have a thing for seating I have a bigger thing for tufted seating. I think this started about a year ago and looking through my Pinterest board on chairs there are quite a few pictures to share. Apparently, I obsess over tufted seating and modern seating.

Actually the entire room above is quite delicious. The color of the couch (tufted mind you) is fabulous and I love the accent colors for the pillows. The lurking yellow chair is a great compliment and throw in some flowers, we have perfection. Oh, yeah, this post is about tufted seating. I almost forgot.

Press On

via Paula Gold's Tumblr

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, "Press on," has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Purple

Another cool color I love! It also happens to be part of LSU's team colors, but that has nothing to do with my love of purple. It's more than that...check it out.

Perhaps

And yet, there's another possibility, Croatia. There's no rhyme or reason to my travel madness, I do want to see it all before it's all said and done. For the moment it's just fun researching the endless possibilities.

Drinks Anyone???

I love Hospitality Design, while I'm not a huge bar person I like a cool design. While flipping through my latest issue of Hospitality Design it's the awards issue, lucky me and lucky you. Hope you enjoy! The winner of the Nightclub, Bar or Lounge is Allure Nightclub, Yas Island Yacht Club, owned by Cipriani. Interior Design Firm is Orbit Design Studio.

I love the ceiling detail and the all white look.

It's hard to tell but in the picture above is a half-shot of private seating in the midst of the bar...I would love a glass of Prosecco (blogger isn't recognizing the word Prosecco???) then sit back and watch the crowd.

Swanky

Seeing as my 85 sq. ft. bathroom will never qualify as swanky, here's the next best thing. Swanky hotel bathrooms.

Who wouldn't love that view while taking a bath?
Another place I'd like to visit, Patagonia.

Obviously, I will explore other things outside of the bathroom:-)
