Courage

via KaJ Design
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”

What's Next

Stacey Brandford via desiretoinspire
Dear Blog: We've been together almost 7 years now and I'm hitting a lull. Kinda like the married folks get around this time period, or so I've heard. I have no idea where to take our relationship. It's odd because last year was a blast and I had all this momentum going into 2013. Then BAM, out of nowhere I had no interest to hit the publish button. Don't get me wrong I've seen some beautiful stuff, just haven't found my MoJo for a full post...
Much Love,

PS- isn't that room magnificent? Baby Grand w/ zebra rug, yes!!!

The 5th Wall

No, I haven't lost my mind, the ceiling is considered the 5th wall in a room. Painting, tiling, wood on the ceiling is a great way to add some WOW to a room...check it out!

Update

Hmm, seems 2013 has started off with a bang, and I haven't had a chance to catch my breath. Clearly, blogging has gone by the wayside. Good thing I had quotes figured out, or it would have been radio silence. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of posts to be written, it's the time to sit still long enough to write/post...
Here's what I HAVE been working on so far for the new year. Clean eating...finally!
Source
I think it's safe to say my health and fitness has taken a nose dive over the past few years. This year I've decided to finally do something about it. Lucky for me Whole Foods sent out their yearly 28-day challenge in December about the same time I was trying to form my nutrition plan. So, I'm going to a plant based diet meaning no dairy, no processed. I'm not much of a meat eater so I can take or leave that food option. I started my new plan this past week and I'm still figuring things out. I've always spent Sundays cooking for the week, however, my new plan needs some tweaking in order to keep me from starving. I had some emergency runs to the grocery while at work and spent evenings cooking more food. I'm hopeful this next week is more successful.
Also, I've started Pilates and am LOVING it!!!
That's it for me, how's your new year going?

Once upon a time the building above was the American Radiator building. In 2001 it was converted into The Bryant Park Hotel. Somehow I've never seen this when visiting NYC. Clearly, I need to schedule a trip ASAP!

Cool

I just read an article on the 6 coolest offices in the world and picked one to share. Unfortunately, Dell (where I currently work) didn't make this list. Apparently, the 80's hasn't made a comeback in office furniture. Oh, well there's always next year.
Anyway, I chose to show you Red Bull's office in London designed by Jump-Studios.

Um, slide...yes, please. This alone made me want to share this office. Who doesn't want a slide from floor to floor...seems like a more efficient way to get around an office.

Ok, so I couldn't find any pictures of the actual "work" spaces, but I figure with all the cool lounging spaces you can just pick up your laptop and work in one of those areas.

White Christmas

One of these days I want to have a white Christmas. And by white I mean a chosen place with the good snow, not some ash colored slush like in Ohio. Sorry, if you're from Ohio, I don't mean this in a rude way, I just want snow from Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, something along those lines. Make sense?
