Sanity

I may need to be committed. I know I said once I hit the publish button I would be over my peacock blue obsession...clearly, I was wrong. I have more to share. I think some of it has to do with the fact the mornings in Austin have been super gloomy and blue tends to cheer me up. I know I'm making excuses for my obsession. Maybe one of you 3 readers can commit me. Just a thought. I ran across this designer via another blog I follow, House of Turquoise. Steven Gambrel has an amazing portfolio where I found tons of stuff I liked. You should totally check him out.

In case the first 2 pics were a little overkill in the blue dept. We have something a little brighter...I love windows that extend ceiling all the way down to the floor.

Just When You Think I'm Done...

I find another person who loves peacock blue like I do...of course I should have known my BFF, Ranya Louise, would love it too. Side note to her name: We've known each other for a long time, and my legal name is Katherine Anne. Well, Ranya being a Middle Eastern gal, naturally needed a southern name too, hence, Ranya Louise. All of our correspondence contains our southern names. Now onto some pix. I did not do her place justice, I only took photos from the top of the stairs in her entry way, and should have snapped a few from the downstairs too...oh well, looks like I'll need to go back real soon and remedy my lack in photos...

Meet Ranya Louise.

Current Obsession

More than likely the second I hit post this obsession will be old news to me and I will have moved on in my color world. This has been on my mind for quite sometime, but can't seem to get around to sharing such exciting news...party of 1 I'm sure! I am in LOVE, like take my breath away make my heart skip beats kinda love, with peacock blue...sometimes leaning towards turquoise in shade and sometimes leaning towards navy. I think I've always loved blue...growing up my parents foyer was a deep navy, and I loved the boldness of it. Being the visual person that I am I will show my love through the various pix I've found online.

I love the simplicity and strength of the color in this living room, very soothing.

I think the boldness of this library speaks for itself. Another obsession of mine is layers in a room...

And if you don't wanna paint a room you can always put in your wardrobe;-)

Now time for a new obsession!
